Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information. If you sign in to our admin area, we store only the account details provided by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) — typically your email address and sign-in metadata.
• Contact information. If you contact us through the form or by email, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, and message, so we can respond.
• Newsletter sign-ups. If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address, two short labels identifying the sign-up form you used, a confirmation status, a random confirmation token, an unsubscribed status, and the dates you signed up and your details were last updated. This is stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. We have not sent any newsletter emails yet. To delete your sign-up, contact us using the address on our contact page.
• Usage data. Like most websites, we may collect basic, aggregated information such as the pages visited and approximate region, to understand which guides are useful.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate the site, respond to enquiries, maintain security, and improve our guides. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and advertising

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to the admin area. This site also displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can manage cookie settings in your browser and review Google's advertising controls through the links below. Some admin features may not work without essential cookies.

Advertising

This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to analyze website traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized data about how visitors use this site. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Push Notifications

This site uses OneSignal to offer optional browser push notifications. If you accept notifications through your browser's own permission prompt, OneSignal may use identifiers and cookies to deliver them. You can allow or block notifications at any time through your browser settings, and OneSignal processes this data under its own privacy policy.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers: Vercel (website hosting and performance measurement), Supabase (database and authentication), Google (Analytics and AdSense), and OneSignal (optional push notifications). Our published pages don't currently contain affiliate links. These providers process data under their own privacy policies. We do not share personal information with advertisers beyond what is necessary for advertising networks to function.

For more information about how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's Privacy & Terms.

Data retention

We keep account, contact, and newsletter information only as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us using the address on our contact page. We will respond as soon as reasonably possible.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
